Emelia has been a driven worker, working with children for over 24 years. Emelia worked as a early years practitioner with all ages, then becoming a room lead and now the centre acting manager.

Tyresha Ambursley

Centre Teacher

Tyresha Ambursley is the dedicated Centre Teacher at Clapton Park Children’s Centre, where she has been a vital team member since 2020. Tyresha leads the EYFS curriculum, supports and advises room staff, and collaborates with the Centre Lead and Senior to manage the centre's operations. She excels in running engaging workshops for both parents and staff, organising events, and ensuring smooth transitions by liaising with local schools.

Tyresha's passion for early childhood education is complemented by her certification as a therapeutic play skills practitioner. In this role, she helps children navigate emotional challenges through play therapy, and provides crucial support for staff wellbeing at CPCC and other centres across Hackney.

Before joining Clapton Park, Tyresha spent eight years as a Reception Teacher and Reception Lead in Essex. Her expertise is recognised beyond the centre, having been a guest speaker at the NDNA North London Annual General Meeting and leading a workshop at the Hackney Education Early Years Conference. Tyresha's commitment to fostering a supportive and enriching educational environment makes her an invaluable asset to the community.

Hackney Forest School Team
The Hackney Forest School project was developed in 2016, founded and managed by Biddy Hutton and Lauren Mills has since been employed as the Hackney Forest School Lead.
Lauren Mills currently manages the HFS services with the new acting centre lead Emelia Kesewaah. 


Miss Lauren Mills

Senior HFS Lead

Lauren was born and grew up in Hackney, a post Wentworth Nursery and Daubeney School pupil.
She has worked with children for over 18 years around Hackney & Islington. She has been awarded funding by The Princes Trust & Sports Relief, and ran a performing arts project for Hackney children. Lauren then moved on to become an Early Years practitioner which led to becoming a Trained Level 3 Forest School Leader by Bridgwater College in 2013. After leading sessions at an Islington Children Centre, Lauren then became the Hackney Forest School Lead.
Lauren has been delivering Forest School to a wide reach of children and families across Hackney and beyond. Wanting HFS to thrive and make it more accessible to all communities, Lauren developed Maple Kindergarten. Lauren loves to learn and deepen her knowledge and skills in outdoor learning, and has felt privaleged to of worked with inspiring people within the Forest School network.
